The Material Handler will be responsible for the internal and external distribution of products internally or externally with customers or third parties. You will work closely with manufacturing and logistics operations teams to ensure that products are properly inventoried, stored and shipped on schedule and with proper documentation and packing.As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:Perform all work in adherence to Standard Operating ProceduresAccurately Verify Part Numbers, Lot Numbers, Quantity, Expiration date and products are stored in the recommended storage conditionsPerform Inventory and System Transactions for Receiving, Staging, and Shipping Functions which include but are not limited to Purchase Order Receipts, Cycle Count, Inventory Transfers, Work Order Component Issue, Shipment ConfirmationsAccurately Pick, Pack, and/or Stage materials for Transfer and Sales OrdersProperly pack shipments in appropriate manner, complying with requirements and regulationsAccurately complete shipping documents, both domestic and international, including shipping labels, commercial invoices and packing listsCoordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and resolving issues arising during the shipping process including delays, damage, and customs clearanceOther Tasks as requestedQualificationsBaseline skills/experiences/attributes:High school diploma or equivalent required. AA/AS or BA/BS in Life Sciences or related discipline preferred.1-2 years' experience in a laboratory/manufacturing setting1-3 years' experience in material handling, including shipping dry iceKnowledge of ERP and logistic carriers' systemsInternational shipping knowledge including documentation, customs and material handlingEffective written and verbal communication skills.Detail orientedMust be able to lift 50 poundsIdeally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it's ok if you don't!):Experience with life science research and/or diagnostic products material handling.IATA/DOT Training for Shipping Dry IceThe estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $45,000 - $50,000 Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual's skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
