Job Summary
The Material Handler II is responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within the warehouse, storage facility or worksite. By working under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity, the right candidate will work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.
Job Responsibilities
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be loaded, unloaded and/or move materials within the warehouse, storage facility or worksite
Maintain system critical data elements
May monitor manufacturing order kitting schedule and update kitting tracker as necessary, ensuring kits are pulled according to schedule and delivered to production on time
Ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping
Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement
Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck
Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise mark information
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience with CostPoint MRP
Experience with Karex VLM machines and power pick software
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Basic computer and data entry knowledge
Qualifications
2+ years warehouse experience
High school diploma or GED
The pay scale for this position is $18/hr - $25/hr. The pay scale information is a general guideline only.
