Exponents has been growing at 25% per year for the last four years, and we're looking for talented Project Managers to join our expanding team! We specialize in designing and building trade show booths, offering dynamic projects and a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

At Exponents, we take pride in continuous evolution. The driving force behind our business growth is a skilled and dedicated Account/Project management team. An ideal Project Manager is an integral part of that team and will have production experience and strong skills in developing and overseeing work plans within the Exposition Industry.

Candidate will have excellent skills in planning, executing, and monitoring projects in order to meet requirements. This is a hybrid role where client interaction is an integral part of the process.

Maintaining relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes, and strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines are a must.

Proven success working with all levels of operations, while controlling budget, scope, and timeline.

Candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to exchange and understand information, verbally and in writing.

Will have a superior skill set in managing time in order to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. Ability to organize workload, processes, or physical objects and spaces.

Show-site operational understanding and experience within the trade show industry is a must.

Experience in handling a project as it moves through production stages from planning, to show-site delivery and setup, to post-event closure, all while keeping clients informed of overall progress.

Experience in managing project and product scope, including identifying deliverables and goals to help mitigate changes to a project.

Experience providing direction to a team of employees to reach day-to-day goals.

Experience or knowledge of maintaining a formalized system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. Includes Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Systems.

Proven success of working with teammates to reach goals and project standards. Able to handle projects as assigned while maintaining company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Have experience being the primary contact for clients, from initial contract close to show site delivery and post-show reporting.
  2. Able to take appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction in both account manager and production roles.
  3. Familiarity with rules of various General Contractor Decoration companies and ensure that forms are submitted before deadline dates.
  4. Audio/Visual knowledge preferred. Robust understanding of AV components and their integration into exhibit booths is highly desirable.
  5. Understanding of Exhibit House show site production guidelines.
  6. Understanding of local labor sources (Union or casual labor) across the United States to ensure work is completed to company standards.
  7. Ability to read/interpret CAD diagrams to ensure proper building code and safety is maintained.
  8. Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers.
  9. Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
  10. Understanding of MHA and logistics for inbound and outbound freight to show site.
  11. Multiple Project Coordination.

Office Skills:

  • Understanding of Exhibit Force/Sales Force style data management systems.
  • Understanding of inventory control systems and their operations.
  • Understanding of labor management systems that track schedules, time, and day.
  • Understanding of Exhibit House manufacturing processes.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to understand production workflows over several departments.
  • Ability to read/interpret CAD diagrams.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (or Equivalent) in related field (Preferred but not required).

Experience:

3-5 Years Advanced customer service, communication, interpersonal, and sales skills, including outbound client calls that enhance the customer experience and overall product offering.

3-5 Years Exhibit Show Site Experience

1-2 Years Exhibit House Fabrication Experience

2-4 Years Audio/Visual Experience

Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) (Not Required)
