SUMMARY:

The Concessions Supervisor assists management in the operations of multiple concession stands before and on event day to ensure accurate staffing, production levels, quality controls & timely service. Works closely with team members to positively impact the business through labor reduction and cost controls. Directs team as necessary to ensure all operations are in compliance with sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies. Reviews work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety. Assists team members in daily tasks as needed.

  • Assists management in daily unit operations to ensure that proper procedures and guidelines are in place and followed for quality products and service.
  • Effectively lead and direct employees engaged in food preparation, point of sale operations, customer service, inventory, checklists, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure all new employees are trained and all team members remain well informed of any changes in policies or events, and effectively communicate any issue to management
  • Take initiative to deliver the highest levels of customer service and food quality to every guest
  • Follow and enforce all company rules and regulations including safety, sanitation, and alcohol policies.
  • Must have knowledge of alcoholic beverages including properly knowing how to change a keg.
  • Communicate with managers and warehouse team to oversee the proper stocking of food and beverage products throughout the stadium.
  • Directs staffing during events to ensure standards are maintained throughout the stadium and a high-quality appearance of the concession location with a focus on attention to detail and clear sight lines.
  • Resolve internal and external customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
  • May perform some service tasks, such as assisting guests, stocking shelves, counting inventory, and cashier duties as requested by management.
  • Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree; plus at least six months experience in food service/retail operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience leading teams and a knowledge of food preparation preferred

Strong interpersonal skills, self motivation, and organization skills required.

Food Handler's certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred.

For alcohol service purposes, 21 years or older is preferred to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Requires the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret general business information. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees using correct English. Requires good voice quality that is conversational and professional. Requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, subordinates, vendors, other departments, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Requires the ability to apply basic math concepts; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, portions, percentages, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:

Requires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail. Requires good analytical and quantitative skills.

MANUAL DEXTERITY:

Requires the ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils.

PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:

Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to operate food service equipment (to include but not limited to) , impinger ovens, beverage dispensing equipment, as well as cash register and office equipment such as computers, copy machines, and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk/move, sit, and stand for prolonged hours; handle objects, cooking tools, or controls. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral visions, distance vision, and color vision.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS

Work is regularly performed in a food production area where there is frequent exposure to food fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to humid and hot conditions as well as cleaning chemicals. Employees will work outside with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, allergens, and work temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate on non-event days and moderate to loud on event days.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act pursuant to California Penal Code Section 11166.5.

BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:

A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment is extended by the company and accepted by the applicant and must be satisfactorily completed prior to any applicant beginning work in a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student capacity with Aztec Shops Ltd.

Background checks will include, at minimum, verification of education and employment histories, criminal records, national sex offender registry check, and references. Additionally, based on the nature and scope of the position, the background check may also include a credit report, motor vehicle report, and verification of professional licenses.
