Construction Estimator Pay Range $25-$30/HR Depending on Experience (DOE) Job Description The position requires a strong understanding of design-build projects and will be responsible to examine all cost elements of each phase of the project. In addition to the original scope of work, the Estimator will be responsible for costs to change orders, as well. This will result in bids that give the company optimum margins. This position has high growth potential. Skills Desired Construction Estimating - Construction Drawings –Scope Development – Proficiency in IT tools to develop accurate cost estimates Responsibilities Make sure that there is an understanding of all direct and indirect cost elements that are being utilized to obtain optimum results. Review any changes to company policies (or changes in any sub-contractors pricing or work process) that affect either direct or indirect costs and run estimates of previous bids through a new, updated analysis for comparisons. Review work in progress to ensure adherence to work requirements, specifications and construction schedules and their impacts on budgeted costs. Coordinate with associated trades for efficient workflow and job cost elements. Requirements Bachelor's degree work in Construction Estimator, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Work experience of 0-3 years as an Estimator Proficient in Microsoft Office and other, construction-related data analysis software. Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening. Knowledge of job site safety requirements and construction equipment. Strong analytical skills, including cost management and multitasking. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a dependable vehicle.
