This role is a driving part of the success of each coach, location, and family served. They are accountable for the quality of interaction, both online, in the office, and over the phone that our families receive. They are also responsible for handling the schedules of each coach and each location. The Director of Operations is someone who is organized and can look 6 months to 18 months in advance to plan out future seasons for our employees, accounts, and families. Accountable for all scheduling for 20-50 people at 200+ different locations
Creates and maintains master calendar
Oversees all operational accountabilities
Accountable for customer experience online and over the phone
Responsible for department accountability and communicating the need for new coaches to the recruiter
Partner and Collaborate with Department Heads
Maintains professionalism in office appearance and culture
Responsible for mentoring direct reports
Responsible for running weekly department meetings
An integral part of the Leadership Team
Responsible for Tech platforms
Responsible for the department's inventory & purchasing/budget
Responsible for payroll systems, employee timesheets and 401 (k) programRequirements:
Passionate about impacting San Diego families through soccer
Passionate about over-delivering on experiences
Willingness to learn EOS and GiANT Worldwide
4+ years of management experience overseeing/mentoring 5+ employees
2+ years of scheduling 20-50 employees
2+ years of experience in payroll systems, 401k programs, accounts payable/receivable
Degree in Business Management, Business Administration or Finance preferred
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Reliable transportation to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County
The ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
Proof of TB test within the past 2 years from date of hire OR proof of TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
Willing to complete 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) within the first 1 year of employment
Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of the start date; Pediatric CPR Certification must be reissued every 2 years
Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
Continued training in EOS, Business Management systems, and Leadership
Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours, Saturdays required
Coach Soccer Shots classesBenefits/Pay:Pay range - $52K-$67K ($25-$32/hr) with mileage reimbursement (IRS Mileage Rate), cell phone reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, 40 hours of accrued sick time, 401K match after 90 days, anniversary bonus, and professional development opportunities.Full-time position that includes (upon completion of ECE units)
