The Internet Technologies QE & Ops team is seeking a dedicated and technical Software Development Engineer in Test Manager to take our existing automation and process to the next level. An ideal applicant would have experience in architecting and creating automation frameworks, tests, and tools. The position offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to the qualification of the software through automation.

Description

The Internet Technologies QE & Ops team is looking for a highly motivated SDET manager to support the growing demands of Mail/Messages/FaceTime/Phone application automation. You will be leading a team of highly skilled software engineers on supporting the qualification of these applications. You will collaborate with engineering and Apple's CI infrastructure team. You will work closely with other team members to develop requirements, identify appropriate testing implementation processes, and methodologies. Your vision, analytical and critical thinking skills will be needed to identify enhancements and instruments needed to increase the team's efficiency and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

1. BS in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent.
2. 2+ years experience leading projects or managing a quality testing team including planning and managing white box and automated testing.
3. Ability to create, drive and support automation test strategy.
4. Strong experience in integrated, end-to-end systems and testing methodologies.
5. Proven ability to achieve results through people and across an organization, building relationships, collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams.
6. Excellent cross-functional communication and influence skills.
7. Experience developing in Python, Java, Swift or C/C++ or Objective-C, familiar with databases, SQL, and scripting languages.
8. Working experience using Continuous Integration concepts and streamlined delivery of code.
9. Proven track record demonstrating the ability to fulfill project deliverables on time.
10. Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge.
11. Proficient in refactoring, test automation, emergent design, testable and modular code, and build infrastructure.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience).

Preferred Qualifications

1. In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Python, Swift, Objective C, Splunk.
2. Automation planning, execution, and triage for projects on multiple platforms: iOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
