In this role, you will use your passion for working with older adults and outgoing personality to make a meaningful difference in a community setting. The Program Coordinator plays an integral role by planning CAC's calendar of classes and events, as well as offering support to our congregate lunch program. This role supports the entire agency by building a positive rapport with clients and their families.Responsibilities:Coordinating daily operations of CAC, including facilitating classes and events Mon-Fri, attending to needs of class instructors, and supervising program assistants and volunteersOverseeing development of the CAC Program activity calendar to maximize opportunities and community connection for older adultsMarketing and promoting the CAC and other JFS programmingAssisting participants with reservations for lunch when neededEnsuring quality customer service for center participants and their familiesInteracting with participants, families, vendors, and community partners with poise and confidenceOverseeing program budget and performing basic bookkeepingTracking volunteer hours, analyzing and reporting attendance, surveys, and participant feedbackManaging the program office according to established agency proceduresOther tasks as assigned by supervisorSkills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:Associates or Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Social Work, or relevant human service field preferredFood Handler Certificate (may be obtained from JFS upon hire)Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills with intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook & Publisher)A minimum of two years' experience working with seniors in a recreational setting preferredExcellent public speaking and presentation abilityKnowledge of the normal and abnormal aging process, senior social services, Alzheimer's disease, and dementiaKnowledge of Jewish culture, practices, and valuesDemonstrated experience in innovative community building and collaboration (program development)Reliable transportationSkills/Abilities We'd Like You to Have:Associates or Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Social Work, or relevant human service fieldIncomplete submissions will not be considered.
