Accounting Specialist (Part-Time)

Description:

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Accounting Specialist. This position is ideal for a candidate with expert-level QuickBooks experience and a strong understanding of AP, AR, invoicing, payroll, and reporting. Accounting Specialist Job Duties include:

  1. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate transaction processing
  2. Generate, review, and distribute invoices and maintain billing records
  3. Process vendor payments, reconcile statements, and maintain strong vendor relationships
  4. Handle payroll processing and ensure accurate employee compensation
  5. Maintain QuickBooks records, including journal entries and reconciliations
  6. Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  7. Create financial reports and provide insights to management
  8. Assist with compliance regarding internal financial policies
  9. Support administrative tasks in METHOD CRM and MONDAY project management software

Preferred Skills include:

  1. Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online)
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  3. Detail-oriented and highly accurate with numbers and records
  4. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  5. Excellent communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  7. Recent Administrative Assistant experience is a plus
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team

Requirements include:

  1. 2+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, or administrative support
  2. Ability to provide 2 professional references
  3. Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $28.00
