FULL DESCRIPTION

Our client seeks a skilled Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and infrastructure management at our manufacturing site in Poway, CA. This role is vital for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations, supporting production by minimizing downtime and leading improvement projects.

The responsibilities include:

• Planning, coordinating, and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance for all equipment and building systems
• Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, machinery, etc.
• Overseeing facility installations and upgrades, ensuring compliance with specifications and protocols
• Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and monitoring service quality
• Leading and training maintenance staff, managing staffing, scheduling, and performance
• Maintaining maintenance records via CMMS systems
• Inspecting infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and support capital planning
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, EHS, and safety policies
• Performing general facility maintenance tasks as needed
• Monitoring utility consumption and recommending energy-saving measures

The ideal candidate will also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Experience managing maintenance teams in industrial settings
• Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office; Lotus Notes experience is a plus
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments

Salary Range: $92k - $135k/year
