Position Overview

Assists in managing all aspects of San Diego Theatres' ticketing services operations.

Salary Range

$68,640 - $78,000 annual salary.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in leading an effective ticketing operation valued by clients, guests, employees, and managers.
  2. Support financial controls for ticketed events, including reconciliation and settlement documentation.
  3. Provide customer service, addressing special needs and resolving seating/ticketing issues.
  4. Oversee preparation and distribution of event information to ticketing and venue staff.
  5. Supervise ticket office staff and assist in training part-time personnel.
  6. Prepare sales reports and verify daily ticket receipts.
  7. Coordinate with event presenters regarding ticketing and event details.
  8. Communicate ticketing information across departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise 15-25 employees, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline, in accordance with organizational policies and laws.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience in box office or training, or equivalent combination.
  2. Experience in theatre ticketing preferred.
  3. Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in math, accounting practices, and Excel.
  5. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
  6. Knowledge of ticketing systems, financial statements, and contracts.
  7. Excellent customer relations, de-escalation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Physical & Work Environment

Requires sitting, standing, walking, using hands, and occasional lifting up to ten pounds. Moderate noise level in a typical work environment. Accommodations available for disabilities.

Training Requirements

Sexual Harassment / First Aid / CPR / AED training required.
