SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and growing existing customers and developing new opportunities to support the assigned geographical territory and company growth objectives. Candidate should reside near the territory area of San Diego.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Must be able to travel the entire assigned geographical territory of San Diego, Riverside, Orange County, Imperial, and San Bernardino.
  2. Grow company revenues through direct sales to customers and prospects within the territory. The position will require approximately 25-50% overnight travel to meet performance expectations.
  3. The highly successful Industrial Account Manager is self-directed and well-organized; effectively prioritizing opportunities and resources, including collaboration with the Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, and other Industrial Account Managers.
  4. Maintain timely and effective communication, both verbal and written, covering company capabilities, products, pricing, lead-times, credit policies, customer needs, expectations, and desired outcomes with the Sales Engineer and Regional Sales Manager.
  5. Utilize a combination of hunting and farming sales strategies with a genuine commitment to excellent customer service to develop lasting customer relationships.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of outside solution-oriented sales experience to OEMs is required; experience selling to OEMs of industrial products is preferred but not required. Experience selling rubber, polymer, and/or vinyl products to OEMs would be helpful.
