Digital Studio Lead

This position will work in the Mission Valley Digital Studio providing classes, open hours, private lessons and other activities to YMCA members. Additionally, this position will support the Y's Next Gen Institute working with high school aged students on developing workforce readiness and digital media skills.

Schedule:

Must be available 8am - 3pm, and they will be scheduled 5 hours which will include prep time, commuting time, and instruction.

*Will be travelling to YMCA branches in North, Central, and East County*

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Studio open hours
• Teach youth robotics and digital media courses at YMCA facilities and/or offsite locations
• Assist with Next Gen Institute program
• Curriculum development with studio equipment and applications
• Lead private lessons as needed
• Facilitate STEM birthday parties at YMCA facilities
• Host Youth nights in Digital Studio facility
• Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and computer software updates

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• At least two (2) years' experience working with youth
• Proficient in all Adobe software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and InDesign
• Some experience with Audio Engineering software and hardware including Logic
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
• CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
  • American Red Cross
  • American Heart Association
  • American Safety & Health Institute
