Position Overview:

The Post Production Lead is a front-line supervisor responsible for managing and developing a team of hourly associates at an Inspection Center to meet production targets. This role is not visa eligible.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely, meeting or exceeding production and quality goals.
  2. Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production goals.
  3. Oversee daily activities of the team; identify strengths and weaknesses; implement improvement strategies.
  4. Provide coaching, development, and performance management; offer feedback.
  5. Foster a positive work environment aligned with Carvana's values.
  6. Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to the team.
  7. Resolve conflicts among team members proactively.
  8. Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and standards.
  9. Review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
  10. Lead a team in repairing or rejecting inventory based on repair costs and vehicle quality.
  11. Train associates in Quality Control standards to identify and complete repairs efficiently on the first attempt.
  12. Perform repairs effectively to minimize rework and delays.
  13. Work safely, minimizing hazards and injuries.
  14. Manage multiple associates, ensuring employee development and performance management.

What the job requires:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Computer proficiency
  3. At least 18 years old
  4. Experience in areas related to Carvana's reconditioning process
  5. Understanding of reconditioning processes and lean principles
  6. Valid driver's license with a clean record
  7. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
  8. Use of safety equipment
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively
  10. Willingness to work overtime and variable schedules
