About the Resorts

Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort are full-service, destination RV and tent camping resorts located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego. Campland occupies 40 acres on Mission Bay, east of Crown Point, while Mission Bay RV Resort spans 60 acres on the east side of Rose Creek. We seek friendly and qualified individuals for day, evening, and graveyard shifts. This is a seasonal opportunity; many of our full-time and part-time employees started as seasonals.

Position Overview

Successful candidates will blend a friendly demeanor and patience with the ability to address problems or troublemakers. Our rangers assist guests and provide security at both resorts. Hours may vary based on business needs, and availability on weekends and holidays is required. Pre-hire background checks are conducted.

Responsibilities

1. Assist guests with questions, directions, emergencies, and lost items.
2. Patrol the resort on foot or golf cart to ensure security.
3. Enforce park rules, such as noise and parking violations.
4. Staff entrance gates: verify parking permits, direct emergency responders, control pedestrian and bicycle access, answer phones, monitor security cameras.
5. Provide security during live entertainment events and at the bar and restaurant.
6. Write detailed incident reports.
7. Clear storm drains during weather events.
8. Assist guests with internet login and TV programming.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The environment is primarily outdoors, with temperature fluctuations from the 40s to 90s. Conditions include rain and dry weather. Rangers patrol via foot or golf cart. Physical requirements include seeing, hearing, speaking, standing, walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment up to 70 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are considered.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a current California Security Guard card. We consider candidates with varying levels of security experience, from entry-level to seasoned professionals.
