SUMMARY:
Takes orders and provides exceptional service for guests in the Premium Seating Areas. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of both food and beverage items to guests while also ensuring the needs of the guests are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

OPERATIONS:
- Set up, serve, and clean up food and beverages for guests during events.
- Ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of area before and after events
- Adhere to all stadium policies and safety guidelines, including food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
GUEST SERVICES: - Collects food and beverage orders, serves items ordered, and attends to guests' needs throughout their visit.
- Provide exceptional service while managing customer requests.
- Deliver orders efficiently and promptly to designated seating areas.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment, including verifying items and quantities.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Provide our guests with personal service and attention to detail that will exceed their expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) degree is required. At least two year's experience as a server in a high-volume environment is required
Strong interpersonal skills, self motivation, and organization skills required.
Must be 21 years old or older to serve alcohol.
Food Handler Certificate from County of San Diego and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSLANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and understand English. Second language in Spanish is helpful but not required. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines, and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively and respectfully present information one-on-one, small, and large group situations to customers, management, and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Requires the ability to apply basic math concepts; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, portions, percentages, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY: Requires the ability to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail.
MANUAL DEXTERITY: Must be able to utilize a computer. Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines and equipment.
PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION: Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Constant standing, walking/moving, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners. Must be able to stand for the entire shift, ability to walk/move during the entire shift; may include walking up and down stairs. Ability to clearly communicate verbally with customers. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS Work is regularly performed in a loud stadium arena. There may be exposure to loud noises such as crowd cheering, fireworks, announcements, food fumes, alcohol fumes, or airborne particles. The employee typically works outside with varying weather conditions, dust, allergens and work temperatures (ranging from extreme heat or extreme cold). Will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to humid and hot conditions as well as cleaning chemicals. As needed to work outdoors; exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, allergens, work temperatures and noise.
PLEASE NOTE: The serving area in the premium set area is close to the soccer field where play will be occurring. Servers need to pay attention to the game on the field, and not provide service when play is occurring near the customer being served. Servers must use common sense as to when serving the customer is safe, and not to interfere with the game. Servers must be on the lookout for soccer balls or players that may come into the service area. Servers must remain alert because of the proximity to the playing field.
BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION: A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment is extended by the company and accepted by the applicant and must be satisfactorily completed prior to any applicant beginning work in a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student capacity with Aztec Shops Ltd.
Background checks will include, at minimum, verification of education and employment histories, criminal records, national sex offender registry check, and references. Additionally, based on the nature and scope of the position, the background check may also include a credit report, motor vehicle report, and verification of professional licenses.
Failure to answer background check questions honestly, and satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the employment status of applicants or continued employment of current Aztec Shops employees who apply for promotional positions which require a background check.
