Job Summary
The Lead Security Guard/Campus Supervisor is responsible for helping to direct the work of Security Guards and provide a safe and secure environment for students and employees.

What You Will Do:
Assist the Director of Security and Emergency Management in managing the work of campus security guards.
Provide daily updates and performance feedback to the Director of Security and Emergency Management.
Engage with Security Guards daily to provide information and direction.
Perform Security Guard/Campus Supervisors daily work including:
o Secure the premises by patrolling school property
o Participate in security searches of school facilities
o Monitor surveillance equipment for illegal activities around school property
o Monitor access points: permitting entry and exit to campus
o Monitor and direct school traffic
o Monitor silent security alarm system
o Monitor fire alarm system
o Monitor and assist in emergency drills with the students and staff
o Monitor and assist in emergency situations (fire, ambulance, etc.)
o Notify Director of Security and Emergency Management immediately if unusual activity occurs on campus
o Lock down buildings, set security alarm systems to active or inactive mode
o Special events: security for sports events (football games, basketball games, Honor Bowl, CIF Sanctioned Playoffs, etc.), security for dances (class dances, Homecoming, Winter Formal and Prom), and security for all CCHS-sponsored events on or off campus (Wine & Microbrew, Senior Sleepover, Grad Night, etc.)
o Work detailed campus security for campus closures
o Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
The employee is required to be mobile to, from and within an office, as well as maneuver throughout the school facility to attend meetings, briefings and other work-related events. The employee may be required to conduct trips to, from and within various city and county-wide locations to attend meetings or events. Able to stand for up to 7.5 hours each day
Able to walk/patrol for up to 7.5 hours each day
Able to walk up and down stairs several times a day
Able to lift to lift at least 40 pounds daily and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to work long hours
Must be able to drive a golf cart in a safe manner
Must be able to work in variable weather conditions (cold, heat, wind, wet weather, etc.)
