ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead the design and delivery of data-driven insights, scalable reporting solutions, and business applications that empower decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

This highly visible role combines technical expertise (Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, DAX, Python) with business acumen, compelling visual storytelling, and a passion for solving complex challenges with data. You will own the full cycle of BI development — from data modeling and automation to dashboard creation and business-facing insights. The successful candidate will be instrumental in improving decision-making tools in line with our commercial execution strategy, possess excellent critical thinking skills and presentation skills, and be adept at working in a face-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities. This role will report to the Director of Business Solutions and will be based out of the Downtown San Diego Corporate office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Design and deliver visually compelling interactive Power BI dashboards and automated reports to support commercial performance, brand growth, and sales efficiency. Dashboards must offer quick actionable insights but also reflect a strong aesthetic sense, ensuring the layout, color, and visual hierarchy enhance understanding and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to identify opportunities, track KPIs (e.g., depletions, distribution, velocity), and translate business needs into data-driven strategies.
  • Build and maintain scalable, connected data models across systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, syndicated data, retail account depletions), ensuring accuracy, performance, and sustainability of reporting tools.
  • Develop Power Apps and automated workflows using Power Platform tools to enhance commercial and trade marketing operations, streamline reporting, and reduce manual work.
  • Lead storytelling with data—translate complex data sets into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations for executive and field teams.
  • Support advanced analytics initiatives (e.g., ROI analysis, price-pack optimization, promotional lift, sales forecasting) using SQL and Python where appropriate.
  • Champion best practices in BI development, data governance, and self-service analytics.
  • Work cross-functionally and act as a liaison between business stakeholders and data engineering to continuously improve data availability, trust, and usability.
  • is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position and that the duties and responsibilities may change without notice.
