The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD or Clubs) is a non-profit organization that CHANGES LIVES through quality programs and guidance in a safe, affordable, and fun environment. BGCGSD's mission is to inspire and enable youth to achieve academic success, build good character and responsible citizenship, and make healthy lifestyle choices. We have been providing a safe, fun, and positive environment at our 23 sites with trained and dedicated professional staff for nearly 85 years. Members are involved in age-appropriate activities based upon our priority outcomes of Academic Success, Character Development, and Healthy Lifestyles.
Position Overview
The President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading and managing the strategic direction, operations, and finances of the Clubs, consistent with its mission. The President/CEO shall exercise final authority on all matters related to Club staff and members, work in collaboration with the Board of Directors and Executive Committee to raise funds and set revenue generation strategy and goals, allocate sufficient resources to sustain the Clubs' mission and operational requirements and help preserve and grow Foundation assets. The President/CEO will serve as a role model to staff establish policies and procedures for the organization, manage and mentor staff, raise awareness of the Clubs though cutting-edge marketing and brand initiatives, and work, with volunteers, Committee and Board members and community leaders to promote the Clubs mission in accordance with best practices.
