Key Accountabilities and Duties:

  • Play a key role in providing input and support for new origination opportunities
  • Lead internal and external transaction diligence and execution

  • Will be responsible for supporting Finance on new transactions and acquisitions
  • Drive transaction schedules and deadline internally and externally
  • Coordinating diligence and presentations for shareholder
  • Play a leadership role on the O&D team and drive improvements identified
  • Coordinate transition of new opportunities to E&C, operations, accounting, etc. as necessary
  • Identify opportunities for value within BluEarth's existing portfolio and take a leadership role in driving those forward
  • Represent BluEarth at outward facing events, such as conferences or trade shows
  • Verify inputs into economics models for new opportunities
  • Uphold all aspects of BluEarth's Environmental, Health, & Safety policies, practices, and programs.
  • Uphold the company's core values.

Education

  • University degree in business, management, engineering, environmental or renewable energy, but consideration will be given to those that possess tangible and proven experience and skills.
  • An MBA or alternative post graduate business training is considered an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in the renewable energy industry in an applicable role such as project development, business development or finance.
  • Must have lead-negotiated multiple PPAs and have had direct experience in Wind, Solar and Storage

  • Demonstrated ability to both formulate and execute strategy;
  • Excellent coordination skills and demonstrated efficiency in providing support to multiple concurrent projects;

  • Strong work ethic and high integrity;
  • Strategic thinker – able to prioritize and move easily from big picture thinking to detailed execution work;
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including conflict/issue resolution;
  • Action-oriented and able to work with all groups at BluEarth;
  • Able to earn the trust of others;
  • Persistent, dedicated, motivated, and a good sense of humour;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Professional, respectful, and charismatic; and
  • Exercises independent judgement and discretion in performing tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel within the United States and Canada.
  • Able to commit to a flexible work schedule that often involves significant time outside of typical work times.
  • Valid driver's license.
