We are seeking an experienced and results-driven AI Data Scientist to lead the development of advanced machine learning models and data-driven solutions. POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven AI Data Scientist to lead the development of advanced machine learning models and data-driven solutions. This role requires deep expertise in data science methodologies, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to influence strategic decisions at the executive level. You will be responsible for designing and deploying AI models, extracting actionable insights, and driving innovation across cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of R&D.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable machine learning models and predictive algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to extract insights, validate hypotheses, and ensure data integrity.
• Design and implement automated AI-driven systems and workflows using cutting-edge tools and programming languages.
• Create compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists and provide technical leadership on AI initiatives.
• Drive architecture and platform decisions related to machine learning infrastructure and strategy.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in programming and data manipulation using languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Extensive experience working with large-scale datasets, relational and non-relational databases, and data processing frameworks.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas: machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), statistical modeling, or optimization.
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of big data ecosystems and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and present to executive stakeholders.
• 5+ years of leadership experience as lead on data science projects.
• Experience shaping business strategies through data and leading teams toward successful delivery of AI/ML solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a specific industry (e.g., biotech, healthcare) and understanding of its data ecosystem.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying AI solutions.
• Prior experience contributing to the design of AI/ML platform architecture.
