Material Handler - (Mon - Fri 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm) - San Diego, CA
Job Goals:
Performs material handling, packing, and miscellaneous warehouse duties.
Responsibilities (performs other duties as required and necessary) :
Acts in a safe manner at all times.
Performs delivery and pickup of materials for production work centers per schedule using material handling equipment.
Prepares freight for shipment by palletizing, banding, boxing, and stretch wrapping as required.
Break down packaging and put away incoming raw material rolls.
Maintains warehouse cleanliness utilizing manual and powered floor cleaning equipment.
Empties work centers waste receptacles and operates compacting equipment.
Carry out cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Control Specialist.
Support requests for taking samples or pulling material for evaluation.
Load and unload delivery trucks.
Non-Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Strong reading, writing, and math abilities.
Previous shipping/receiving or material handling experience preferred.
Prior forklift experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving equipment and maneuver lift equipment in confined spaces.- Pulling material from cantilever racks require employees to operate turret trucks at heights of up to 30 feet.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $18.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus 2 nd shift differential of $1.00/hr. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $43,472 to $66,352. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]
