Job Title: CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector

Location: Poway, CA

Pay Range: $30-$45

Company Overview:

We are working with an industry-leading manufacturer specializing in complex aerospace and gas turbine components made from exotic metals. The company is certified under ISO 9001 and AS9100, and their products have supported high-profile aerospace projects. We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to contribute to their precision-driven environment, focusing on quality and continuous improvement.

Job Description:

As a CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the inspection of aerospace components. This role involves programming and operating CMM equipment, performing detailed inspections, and contributing to process improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, validate, and maintain CMM programs and supporting inspection documentation.
• Conduct 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections using CMM and standard measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, gauges).
• Support the development and improvement of measurement systems, tooling, and fixtures for the inspection process.
• Complete PPAP documentation and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
• Train quality and manufacturing personnel on CMM operation and inspection best practices.
• Inspect incoming materials according to AS9100 guidelines and counterfeit prevention standards.
• Troubleshoot measurement process issues and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and enter inspection results into ERP systems.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1+ years of CMM programming experience OR 2+ years of CMM operation experience.
• Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience with common measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, gauges).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of CMM programming and 5+ years of CMM operation experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Aerospace quality experience with AS9100 standards.
• Familiarity with CNC machining, tooling, and fixture design.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing, metal finishing, and heat treatment processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other equipment for handling heavy items.

Additional Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance).
• Background check, drug test, and reference check required..
