Child and Family Therapist Private Practice

Are you committed to providing high-quality care to children and families? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for a licensed therapist who can provide clients with long-term strategies to improve their relationships. You will have the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills for success in this position through a comprehensive curriculum of training materials and case consultations. As a Child and Family Therapist, you will start part-time (working up to 15 to 20 hours per week) and grow into a full-time and salaried position as your caseload increases. This role will start as part-time, with the expectation of transitioning into full-time.

$65 - $78 hourly

• Keep accurate and detailed records of patients in compliance with facility and license requirements

• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all face-to-face interactions, as well as on the telephone, via virtual meetings, and on social media
• Establish a strong rapport with clients to foster a healthy professional relationship
• Complete intake assessments, which include documentation such as Mental Status Exams, intake paperwork, and other assessments
• Communicate with referral sources as well as primary care physicians (PCP) after initial intake, and as needed for ongoing care of clients
• Complete timesheet daily, reflecting billable hours worked by the end of the day
• Maintain clients charts and keep complete and correct documentation
• Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment
• Attend all training as outlined in the Clinical Training spreadsheet

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required
• High school diploma or GED and a bachelors degree in counseling, social work, or equivalent; master's degree preferred
• State license that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or equivalent
• Must have 1-3 years of marriage and family therapy experience in a clinical setting

• Licensed therapist: LMFT, LPCC, Psychologist
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with children 5 years and up
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with families
