The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is currently seeking a highly skilled Engineer II to join our team at our beautiful oceanfront restaurant. The overall maintenance of guest rooms and facilities influences guest and co-worker impressions. Clean, well-maintained guest rooms, facilities and equipment contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and short correspondence; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively in English to customers, managers, or employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with varied concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must have valid California Driver's License and CFC recovery certificate.
Regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; frequently stand, bend, climb, and reach; occasionally sit. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
The work environment is usually moderate to loud. Employees may work outdoors in various weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts; exposure to electrical shock, vibration, wet or humid conditions, fumes or chemicals, extreme temperatures. Safety-conscious actions are expected. The company maintains a Right to Know disclosure of potential hazards and encourages reporting hazards to management.
Interaction: Engineers interact with multiple departments, tenants, and guests. Scheduling: Company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day; hours may vary based on business needs.
