About the Role:

A well-established California law firm is seeking a seasoned Eminent Domain Attorney to join its Trial & Litigation Practice Group in San Diego, Los Angeles, or Oakland. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact land acquisition cases involving some of the most prominent public infrastructure and transit projects in the state.

What You'll Do:

  • Represent public clients in high-profile eminent domain and land use matters
  • Craft litigation strategies and manage case development from start to finish
  • Conduct depositions, prepare dispositive motions, and support trial preparation
  • Collaborate with a high-performing legal team across multiple California offices
  • Help shape outcomes for major public projects across transportation, transit, and sports infrastructure

Must-Haves:

  • At least 7 years of litigation experience
  • Significant experience in law and motion practice, including dispositive motions
  • Skilled in trial preparation: evidence development, depositions, and witness interviews
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • JD with strong academic credentials
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team-based environments

Nice to Have (Preferred):

  • Experience in Eminent Domain, real estate, or public land acquisition litigation

Why Apply?

  • Competitive compensation: $175K–$260K DOE
  • Hybrid work model with in-office collaboration
  • Manageable billable hour expectations
  • Discretionary and billable hour bonuses
  • Excellent health benefits + 401(k) with partial match and profit-sharing
  • A chance to gain significant trial exposure and grow your expertise in eminent domain law

If you're a senior litigator looking to deepen your impact in public law and land use, this is your opportunity to take on meaningful, high-profile work that shapes California communities. Apply now.
