Position Summary:
The Technical Trainer is responsible for completing the training tasks which include but are not limited to conducting end user training, class registration, documentation development, schedule maintenance, and system testing. The Technical Trainer will ensure the up-to-date maintenance of a hands-on end-to-end training program for a variety of our company systems, including our electronic medical record system (Epic) and other critical business systems as needed. They will also offer recommendations for training improvements across the systems and departments to include system workflow streamlining.
Essential Functions of the Job :
- Maintenance of a comprehensive training program with regularly scheduled classroom sessions, standardized training material, online training, and the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Work closely with departments to translate workflow design and process decisions into training content. Works closely with Business Analysts and Clinical Support staff to identify all training and educational needs and changes.
- Performs assessments to determine skills gaps between current and desirable skill levels, evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes
- Identifies opportunities for improving training methods and procedures; communicates recommendations appropriately
- Responsible for training users, including super-users and service desk personnel. Identify clinical system training needs and educate staff on approved system processes, new functionality, or other types of changes and provide relevant tips to improve efficiency.
- Participate in project efforts by providing training and end-user support, including go-lives for any new implementations at clinic sites as needed.
- Participate in testing of changes, new features, and functionality; identify issues that disrupt the delivery of care by reporting to the Clinical Support staff.
- Assist in updating the internal training website and ensure all approved documentation is uploaded in a timely manner.
- Complete all necessary training tasks in Epic U and other Epic systems for end users as needed.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Epic and other systems.
- Performs duties on site as assigned or requested

Job Requirements
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience Required:
- 1-3 years healthcare experience (clinic, hospital, or health system) including clinical workflow and clinical terminology
- 1-3 years' experience with providing systems training in Epic, preferably in outpatient care settings
