As a Qualcomm GPU Engineer, you will architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize GPU cores for performance and power. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs.

The Power Implementation Engineer within Qualcomm's Adreno GPU team will be responsible for power estimation, implementation, verification, minimization, and related methodology/flow development. The focus is on delivering optimized GPU cores in performance, power, and area. Responsibilities may include:

  • Technology exploration
  • Power analysis and estimation
  • Performance and power analysis on use cases
  • RTL and synthesis-based power optimization
  • Thermal analysis and optimization
  • Performance, power, and area modeling and optimization
  • SOC design implementation and methodology
  • Semi-custom design flow and methodology

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with a strong understanding of ASIC design methodology on latest process technology. Willingness to learn and solve challenging problems is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant GPU experience
  • 2+ years of experience interacting with senior leadership (e.g., Directors and above)
  • Knowledge of performance & power modeling
  • Experience with power analysis tools like Power Artist and PrimeTime PX
  • Knowledge of power minimization techniques such as clock gating, power gating, multi-VT design
  • Experience in power intent design and verification of isolation, level shifters, and retention
  • Familiarity with SystemVerilog RTL and simulation
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Linux shell, TCL, Perl, or Python
  • Experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, and formal verification
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years or PhD with 2+ years in related engineering roles.

Pay Range and Benefits:
