Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in San Diego, CA, seeks an experienced and motivated litigation attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a diverse and dynamic practice area, specializing in community association law. The ideal candidate will be a solution-oriented team player with a collaborative mindset, looking to contribute to the firm's ongoing success while benefiting from its strong client relationships and supportive environment.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation to community associations.
  • Handle litigation cases including CC&R disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, contract disputes, personal injury claims, property damage, and construction law matters.
  • Negotiate and enforce contracts, review insurance policies, and resolve architectural disputes.
  • Advise clients on CC&Rs interpretation and enforcement.
  • Serve as an advocate and educator for community associations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to provide proactive solutions to complex legal issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of litigation experience, ideally in community association law or a related field.
  • Proven ability to handle complex litigation cases, particularly in the areas of contract disputes, property damage, personal injury, and construction law.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Positive attitude with a client-focused approach.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent litigation skills, both in and out of the courtroom.
  • Strong understanding of California community association laws and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to think critically.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
