Job Title: Level 3/4 IT Support Technician

Location: San Diego, CA (On-site and Remote Support)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Level 3/4 IT Support Technician to join our dynamic MSP team. This role demands a seasoned professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels in both remote and on-site support, and can confidently engage with C-suite executives. You'll be the go-to expert for everything from basic helpdesk tasks to advanced cybersecurity, networking, and systems engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for clients across various industries.
  • Handle daily support tasks including password resets, software installations, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to:
  • Cybersecurity (threat detection, endpoint protection, incident response)
  • Networking (firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs, routing)
  • Manage and maintain client infrastructure including servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement IT projects and upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with C-suite executives, translating technical issues into business-friendly language.
  • Document all work performed in ticketing systems and maintain accurate client records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years at Level 3 or higher.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, and VMware/Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, especially with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and wear multiple hats in a fast-paced MSP environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site support.

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or A+
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Hybrid role with on-site visits required in the San Diego area.
