SDG seeks a Director of Learning to create and deliver the highest quality and most compelling learning opportunities and conferences for our members. Under the direction of the President & CEO, the Director of Learning will lead and implement program curriculum that strengthens effective individual and collective philanthropy in our region. They will also work in close conjunction with the Vice President of Collaboration & Special Initiatives to support events for our funder and cross-sector collaborations and learning experiences that advance our equity and impact investing strategies.
5+ years experience and demonstrated success in developing and implementing similar types of programming and events; experience in the nonprofit/philanthropic sector preferred; proven capacity to quickly learn new things; excellent writing and research skills; experience in curriculum development, group facilitation, adult learning and network building a plus; strong attention to detail; excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; top notch organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and work under deadline on multiple projects using solid project management and planning expertise; both a creative and entrepreneurial idea generator as well as a skilled implementer; ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of a small team; passion for the wellbeing of the San Diego community. Also, familiarity with Microsoft Office, ability to lift 15 pounds, possession of a CA Driver's License with a good driving record and access to a reliable, properly insured vehicle for travel.
San Diego Grantmakers provides a generous compensation package, including medical, dental, vision; a Simple IRA retirement plan; as well as paid vacation and holidays. The salary range is $60,000 to $70,000.
