Overview

Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP is seeking a mid-level Associate with approximately 2-5 years of State and Federal corporate and commercial litigation experience to join the San Diego office. This is an opportunity to work at an AmLaw 200 Firm with substantial client contact, practice development, and professional growth opportunities. Responsibilities include handling a variety of business litigation matters (including corporate and commercial, M&A, entity governance, contracts, real estate and land use, bankruptcy).

Responsibilities

• Draft motions, including discovery requests and responses
• Prepare meet-and-confer correspondence, motion and trial briefs, settlement agreements, and client reports
• Argue minor motions and handle regular routine court appearances
• Take and defend depositions; assist in trial preparation
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to manage matters from inception through resolution

Qualifications

• California bar admission
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing, verbal, analytical, and research skills
• 2-5 years of experience in State and Federal corporate and commercial litigation
• Experience in private law firm settings handling business litigation (including corporate and commercial, M&A, entity governance, contracts, real estate and land use, bankruptcy)
• Previous moot court and/or law review experience preferred; judicial clerkship is helpful

Compensation and Benefits

• Base pay range: $145,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr
• Significant bonus opportunities for attorneys of all levels
