Insight Global is seeking a TS/SCI Field Service Engineer to support an exciting mission for a large defense customer. This person will undergo 6 months of training in San Diego, CA and then spend at least 1 year working at an OCONUS site providing hands-on technical support.

This person will be a part of the team responsible for the deployment, operations, and maintenance of mission-critical communication systems. The ideal candidate should have experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting ground segment systems, be solutions-oriented, and have experience learning standard operating procedures of a new system.

Responsibilities and Requirements

This role must be comfortable working in an OCONUS location. Training for the role will take place in San Diego, CA for the first 6 months, then work overseas.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability and interest in living/working OCONUS
• Bachelor's degree (or additional 4 years of experience)
• Active Security+ (or able to obtain before completion of the 6-month training program)
• Experience working in Linux and/or Windows environments to perform system administration duties
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and repair of systems in the field

Nice to Haves:

• Experience working with Air Vehicle Operations and Ground station systems
• DoD 8570 Certification in Windows, Linux, or Cisco
• Virtualization and VMWare experience
• Experience managing servers and Windows domain architecture
• Experience working off of maintenance instructions and maintenance sign-off processes

The work environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and will involve communication with the customer and other military personnel.
