Job Purpose

The HR and Benefits Analyst contributes to the effectiveness of the HR function by providing insights through data analysis, data maintenance, reporting, and research to guide organizational decision-making. Additionally, the role involves developing automation and process improvements that streamline the HR and benefits process and enhance efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities/Job Duties

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards to support strategic HR initiatives and leadership decision-making.
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of various HR and benefits systems.
  • Ensure HR and benefit data accuracy, integrity, and security through regular audits, reconciliation, and analysis against various HR and benefit databases and trackers.
  • Complete monthly, weekly, and quarterly reports, such as, but not limited to, time card audits, overtime reports, and labor and distribution reports.
  • Analyze and assist in streamlining HR processes by leveraging HR systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Review, revise, and document SOPs for HR processes, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the HRIS and Benefits Data lead in collaboration with vendors to ensure seamless integrations of HRIS and benefits systems and troubleshoot technical issues by applying project management principles.
  • Review and build enhanced workflows and automation solutions that support efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and maximum ROI on HRIS and HCM systems.
  • Responsible for compliance reporting, government reporting, including ensuring the I-9 process is kept up to date.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, brokers, benefit providers, and the benefit administration system service team.
  • Provide HR support with maintaining personnel files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide daily HR support to managers, employees, and stakeholders that is timely and focused.
  • Coordinate and deliver new employee benefits orientation.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 7 years of minimum experience working in Human Resources supporting core HR functions
  • 5 years minimum experience in HR analytics with a foundational understanding of people data and working with HR Systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll, and timekeeping systems)
  • Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now
  • 2 years of minimum experience working in Benefits Administration
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data validation, etc)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in data visualization and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar data analysis and report generation
