A Day in the Life
The Core Team Leader (CTL) for the Dispensing portfolio is the cross-functional business leader, accountable for decision-making within development projects using the Core Team model. The Dispensing Portfolio accounts for ~1B$ in revenue for the Medication Management Business and this CTL role will lead the Core Team(s) to deliver the business outcomes aligned with the Dispensing business strategy.
Position Responsibilities
- Cross-functional Leader for complex medical device platform(s) and important sub-project(s) with responsibilities for large elements of the product development effort.
- Strategic Product collaboration with the commercial team on trends and needs to develop product roadmaps
- Understanding and providing inputs to commercial business plans
- Understanding Leadership Priorities and Translating Them into Actionable Projects (Scope and alignment, collaboration, pragmatic planning)
- Ensure accountability of Cross-functional team members
- Ensure all cross-functional strategies (i.e. product development, regulatory, service and deployment, etc.) are in place at the appropriate time in the project
- Present Progress updates in Portfolio Management Reviews
- Ensure cross-functional teams are staffed according to project prioritization
- Responsible for technical roadmaps, planning and budgeting during Annual Strategic Reviews
- Plan and administer yearly budget to ensure proper execution of deliverables as aligned to business strategy
- Responsible for rapid and effective escalations
- Responsible for scenario mapping to help inform roadmaps and effective decision making
- Accountable for delivery of commitments and Key Driving Goals for new and in-flight projects within their product line
- Accountable for project and business deliverables. Collaborate and communicate with extended team members, and other relevant stakeholders with respect to planning and execution of the projects Design Development Plan.

- Autonomy: Manages multiple major, strategic programs and initiatives across the organization that require strong influence outside of immediate program stakeholders. Is accountable for overall program portfolio success.
- Organizational Impact: Establishes program portfolio objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets for multiple interconnected programs.
- Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are complex, undefined and impact multiple businesses, functions, or programs, where information is typically difficult to obtain and extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems is required.
- Communication and Influence: Communicates and conducts briefings with senior or executive leadership regarding new strategic program proposals and critical program outcomes.
- Leadership and Talent Management: Leads a matrixed large unit that typically includes multiple teams led by Program Managers and/or vendors.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering field (Mechanical, Systems, Physics, Electrical, Biomedical, Software) required. Master's degree or PhD preferred.
- At least 10 years of growing responsibility in R&D technical engineering roles or a PhD in a relevant engineering discipline with 5 years of industry experience, with extensive, successful experience in product development and a clear understanding of quality management systems.
- Regulated industry experience (FDA, Automotive, Industrial, etc.)
- Experience with design for manufacturing, process validation and design transfer
- Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.
- Project management experience for complex systems. PMP certification preferred.
- Experience managing large budgets
Nice to Have
- Medical Device industry experience- knowledge of new product development, quality systems, global regulatory exposure.
- Experience developing solutions for nursing and/or pharmacy
- Experience with Software As A Service and cloud-oriented medical device solutions
- Advanced degree such as MS, MBA, with strong financial acumen
- Knowledge of patient safety, quality, clinical research, strategic planning.
- Strong “influence management” skill set demonstrated in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated success in effectively managing teams, executing on projects, and communicating expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively in a diverse, global, matrixed organization.
- Knowledgeable of U.S. Food and Drug Law and WW regulatory, device safety and/or regulatory/clinical research.
- Exposure to EU market and associated regulations.

Salary Range Information
$179,200.00 - $322,500.00 USD Annual
