Academic Sales Consultant

Overview

This is a full-time position, based in the U.S. The role is currently fully remote but may require occasional in-person meetings and events in the future. Crimson Education is a global EdTech company founded in 2013 focused on personalised education and data-driven guidance for college admissions. We connect students with expert-led guidance and proven strategies from tutors and mentors across 30 markets.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes
  • Identifying and engaging with new prospective Crimson customers
  • Establishing rapport with parents and students to communicate the benefits of Crimson Education
  • Conducting sales consultations and academic assessments in alignment with the Crimson brand and culture
  • Presenting and promoting Crimson products to prospective families per the company sales process
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships that lead to satisfaction and referrals
  • Onboarding new clients to the Student Success Manager team
  • Contacting existing clients to inform them of new developments and upsell opportunities
  • Expediting resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Continuously improving sales techniques and industry knowledge
  • Hosting or attending online sales-oriented marketing events as needed
  • Coordinating with the Accounts team to ensure timely payment of accounts
  • Providing feedback to improve sales processes
  • Contributing proactively to a high-performing, collaborative team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, business, education-related field, or equivalent sales experience; preference for education space experience
  • Understanding of sales fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build customer rapport
  • Time management skills and ability to work remotely across four US time zones
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; experience speaking to large groups is a plus
  • Knowledge of the US college admissions process and Ivy League landscape is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
