HGA Overview

HGA's Healthcare (HC) practice is seeking a BIM specialist to join our team in one of our California offices. This position provides Revit model support to architects, planners, and designers actively using Revit for project delivery.

The individual will manage the Revit model setup and ongoing management of Architectural models on active projects, primarily in California, with occasional work across other HGA offices. Part of the role involves training and support from the national HGA Digital Practice Group (DPG) to incorporate standards.

This role includes user support, troubleshooting, content development, and promoting BIM practices within our firm. The individual will work closely with DPG's Strategic Projects team for implementing digital workflows, strategic initiatives, and client-specific BIM requirements.

In This Role You Will

  • Set up Revit models following HGA BIM standards; maintain model health; troubleshoot user issues.
  • Assist with BIM coordination, quality assurance, and ensure adherence to BIM execution plans and standards.
  • Coordinate workflows with project teams and discipline leads; attend coordination meetings.
  • Manage content requests; maintain information continuity across applications.
  • Configure and customize design and production applications; assist in staff training and support.
  • Handle customization, troubleshooting, and product testing.

Revit Specific Responsibilities

  • Model Setup: Prepare starter files with content, view templates, and parameters; model existing conditions; coordinate survey and project base points.
  • Model Maintenance: Coordinate with project teams for modeling, sheet setup, and document management; update title blocks; export to CAD/Navisworks; review drawing index; archive documents.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2-5 years of Revit experience on architectural projects.
  • Knowledge of construction types, strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office; familiarity with Sketchup, Rhino, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of project workflows from design to construction; Revit certification preferred.
  • This position is not for individuals with a professional architecture degree.

Salary & Benefits

The pay range is $26.16 - $41.63/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include bonuses, 401(k), parental leave, insurance plans, PTO, and disability programs. This position is full-time, with eligibility for benefits.

Note: This role is not suitable for those with a professional architecture degree but skilled in Revit and other modeling software.
