Job Description

Pay Range: $60 – $70/hr. The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

We work a hybrid schedule 9/80 A schedule and the expectation is the individual will do the same.

Week 1: Monday and Tuesday in the office, Wednesday and Thursday WFH, Friday Off.

Week 2: Monday and Tuesday in the office, Wednesday – Friday WFH.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team/collaborative environment of DaDT engineers to find optimal solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Analyze assigned parts/locations on the structure using tools and processes to perform calculations, while delivering organized and documented analysis for internal and external review.
  • Receive on-the-job training (OJT) to get up to speed with the DaDT analysis process.
  • Analyze, research, and develop structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design or operation.
  • Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and structural modeling.
  • Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue, and thermal analysis.
  • Utilize tools such as CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer, and a variety of software applications.
  • Collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results, and analyze complex problems to develop solutions.

No. Of positions: 2

  • Candidate 1/2: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 8 years' experience in aerospace structural analysis, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years' experience.
  • Candidate 2/2: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years' experience in aerospace structural analysis, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years' experience.

Basic Qualifications (required):

  • Competency with FEMAP and NASTRAN pre/post processing.
  • Significant experience with Fatigue/Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis.

Preferred Qualifications (desired):

  • Experience with tools: jFAMS, FASTRAN, DBI/SST, Catia V5, and Knotch.
  • Experience with Navy fatigue/DaDT methods and report writing, regression analysis techniques, linear elastic fracture mechanics, and strain-life fatigue analysis methodology.
