Job Title: Building Mechanic II

Job Description

The Mechanic II is responsible for independently performing both basic and complex maintenance as well as preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires conducting rounds to ensure system stability, reporting, and repairing issues promptly. Additionally, the Mechanic II will take part in a rotating shift schedule for watch-standing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rounds as per department schedule to assess and document the performance and condition of plant equipment including pumps, motors, equipment pressure levels, fuel levels, and temperature.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems locations and their components.
  • Control the integrity of life safety systems by securing, disabling/enabling devices, testing, and responding to emergency situations according to department and center protocols.
  • Maintain the HVAC system to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Work Environment

The work environment involves maintaining large commercial facilities with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
