Overview

Tranzeal is seeking a Technical Support Engineer - Automation to support one of its clients. Duration: 12+ months. Location: San Diego, CA. Pay Rate: DOE. Number of positions: 1. Note: Onsite presence requested weekly on Wednesday and Thursday.

Duties

What you will do in this role:

• Technical Support Engineers are responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the ServiceNow platform.
• Serve as the first point of escalation within the technical support department and provide regular communication updates to customers on the progress of their requests/cases.
• Acquire a quick understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
• Remain customer-facing, requiring strong interpersonal and customer service skills in addition to technical skills.

Skills & Requirements

From the job description, the top must-have skill sets include:

• Experience Writing And Debugging JavaScript Code Or Similar Language
• Working knowledge of Web Technologies (Apache, Tomcat, HTML, XML, JSON)
• Understanding of remote administration via SSH, SNMP, WMI, Powershell
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Additional requirements / considerations:

• Understanding of object-oriented programming (Java and JavaScript) and SQL/database concepts
• Networking concepts including TCP/IP, HTTP, firewall and load balancer concepts
• Familiarity with VMware, AWS, Azure, and Event Management Systems

Compensation note: The national base pay range below is a good-faith estimate of what our client may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on KSAs, experience, and other factors. $41 - $46 per hour on W2.
