A kind, international family in Los Angeles is seeking a Night Newborn Care Specialist to support their third child (EDD May 19). The home is calm, organized, and collaborative, with a wonderful long-term live-in nanny for the older two children (ages ~4 and ~2). The parents both have demanding careers and value a steady professional who brings evidence-based newborn care, clear communication, and a drama-free presence.

Responsibilities

• Overnight newborn care: feeds, burping, diapering, soothing, safe sleep (AAP-aligned)
• Sleep foundations & routine: gentle, baby-led approach; establish sustainable night rhythms.
• Parent support: breastfeeding/bottle/formula guidance; pace-feeding; pumping coordination; sanitize/prepare bottles & equipment
• Tracking & communication: maintain detailed logs (feeds/outputs/sleep), concise AM handoff notes
• Nursery standards: tidy/stock nursery, launder baby items as needed, maintain calm, low-footprint presence
• Team continuity: coordinate tactfully with the parents and the family's long-term daytime nanny

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of recent, paid newborn experience (NCS with excellent references
• Evidence-based, safety-first mindset; up-to-date on infant CPR/First Aid, Tdap/Flu/COVID
• Professional discretion and emotional steadiness; clear, kind communicator
• Tech-comfortable for simple logs/updates; organized and self-directed on overnights
• U.S. work authorization; passport-ready a plus if open to optional travel
