The candidate will work on assembling and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
The candidate will interface with multiple departments (Quality, Engineering, Production, Sales), working together to tackle new challenges and new products.
In this position, the Candidate will recommend changes in documentation to enhance manufacturability and quality (instructions, checklist, and troubleshooting guide).
The candidate will work directly with our Manufacturing Engineers on testing new processes and collecting data.
The candidate will be a key member of our continuous improvement program.
As an ATE Candidate will be seen as the technical reference for our Production team.
The candidate will deliver training to small groups of Assemblers and Technicians.
Candidate will also collaborate with the engineering team on new product introduction, new tools qualification, and new parts testing.
The candidate will help with creating and executing a test plan.
The candidate will prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
As an ATE, you may provide work assignment direction to team members.
Qualifications and Skills
A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is strongly preferred, with 1-3 years of related experience.
Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines, while keeping a keen awareness of the impact on other areas of the organization.
Attention to detail.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
A willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams.
Excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving, good time management, and task prioritization.
Require general computer skills and knowledge (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams).
Ability to operate and troubleshoot software-driven systems.
Must be able to read and understand documents such as work instructions, Bill of Materials, schematics, and drawings.
Ability to analyze a small set of data and report problems through written and/or graphical format. Define problem statement, initiate root cause analysis, and propose containment/corrective actions. Strive for continuous improvement.
Ability to use standard hand tools and electronic test equipment.
Knowledge of ESD practices.
Must be able to maintain a clean work area.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Due to the nature of the job, the candidate should be able to lift 25 pounds with assistance.
Wear applicable PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes. Work under the hood.
