$22.00/hr - $25.00/hr

About The Israeli-American Council

The mission of the IAC is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens: the Israeli and Jewish identity of our next generations, the American Jewish community and the bond between the peoples of the United States and the State of Israel.

Job Purpose

The temporary assistant will support the local IAC team in recruiting community members for our programs and events. In addition, they will assist with the logistical execution and preparation of events. The assistant will provide support to the local team member in any area needed to help maintain and operate the branch over the course of several months. This is a temporary 5 hours-per-week position.

Duties Include

• Help to build and create events for the community.
• Oversee marketing, promotion, delivery, implementation, and quality of programs, sessions, and community events.
• Implement and assist in developing strategies to recruit participants for the programs.
• Update regional community about events and happenings.
• Logistical support in preparing for our events and programs, as well as during the events themselves.
• Attendance at community events and Keshet sessions, and supporting the on-site team as needed.
  
  

• Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities. Knowledge about its: people, culture, con?icts, history, etc.
• Strong social skills and experience in community building.
• Flexible hours to include work in the evenings and weekends as needed for regional activities.
• Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment.
• Highly e?cient and organized.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good operational & administrative management.
• Works efficiently within a team setting
• Speaks, reads and writes in English & Hebrew.
• Full-time employees working 20 plus hours per week shall be eligible for insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, & life) following the new hire waiting period.
