Job Summary

The Department of Kinesiology is seeking candidates for adjunct teaching positions.

Salary

Adjunct pay ranges from $5,013 to $6,684 based on units.

Job Description

Applicants will teach courses in undergraduate programs (Applied Health Science, Exercise & Sport Science) and Master of Science in Kinesiology in areas such as biomechanics, fitness assessment, sport management, exercise physiology, strength training, corrective exercise and other courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate or graduate courses.
  • Invest in students.
  • Participate in institution activities as appropriate.
  • Involve students in research or professional experience as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D., Ed.D. preferred; MA/MS accepted.
  • Experience in professional organizations related to exercise science.
  • Commitment to Christian liberal arts education and evangelical institution.
  • Potential for outstanding teaching.
  • Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement; agreement with PLNU Community Life Covenant.
  • Successful completion of background check.
