Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Associate Attorney located in San Diego, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Associate Attorney will handle day-to-day legal tasks including providing legal advice, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, conducting discovery, depositions, mediation, and representing clients in court. This role is for an insurance defense associate. Cases range from personal injury defense to product liability, premises liability, and business disputes.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients and conduct legal research
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties
• Conduct discovery, depositions, and mediation
• Represent clients in court as needed, including trial preparation
• Work on cases from personal injury defense to product liability, premises liability, and business disputes

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Insurance Defense/Tort
• Expertise in providing legal advice and conducting research
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in settlement discussions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• Prior experience in civil litigation is preferred
