This management position requires confidence, commitment, and motivation to lead staff towards success. Key traits include strong communication, leadership, self-motivation, observation, decisiveness, flexibility, patience, supportiveness, and a sense of urgency. The role also offers opportunities for growth and expansion within Bristol Farms.
The Assistant Food Service Manager assists the Food Service Manager in all aspects of the department's operations, including planning, directing, managing, and achieving profit targets. Responsibilities include staff development, morale building, and operational tasks such as:
Assist in directing, coordinating, and evaluating the Food Service Department, including training, performance appraisals, discipline, and conflict resolution.
Provide exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations, demonstrating a positive attitude, respect, and flexibility.
Experience as a Food Service Shift Supervisor in relevant industries, with at least one year of related experience or a college/technical certificate.
Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish skills are a plus.
Essential for customer interaction and communication.
Ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.
Apply common sense, resolve conflicts, analyze situations, and implement solutions.
Stand, walk, handle objects, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform visual tasks. Noise level is moderate to loud.
