Systems and Support Engineer (San Diego, US)

Responsibilities

• System Management: Oversee and manage multi‑operating system environments, ensuring they are up‑to‑date, secure, and performing optimally.
• Client Support: Handle technical support tickets, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to ensure client satisfaction and system uptime.
• Software Maintenance: Regularly patch, update, and debug proprietary and third‑party software used in our vision systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues affecting system performance.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation, client responses, and internal knowledge bases.
• Project Support: Assist in deployment of new projects, ensuring scalability and robustness of systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT support, preferably within embedded systems, vision systems, or a similar field; B2B experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of network protocols and system architecture.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction.
• Familiarity with vision system technologies is beneficial.
• CompTIA A+, Network+ or related certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
