The Nutrition & Meal Transport Coordinator helps support daily meal service for older adults at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center, where the program serves an average of 25-30 meals per day. This role involves driving to pick up catered meals, heating and cooling prepared food, and performing setup, service, and cleanup in a welcoming, team-oriented environment. The position works alongside staff and volunteers while ensuring safe and friendly food service for the community. Scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-1:00 pm but may be adjusted to meet the needs of the center. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of customer service principles; food handling; objectives of recreational activities; instructional techniques; basic mathematical and reading concepts; record keeping; English language; and laws and regulations in driving a vehicle.
