Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a Plant Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Plant Electrical Engineer

Location:San Diego, California

Pay Range:$10,000 - $125,000

What's the Job?

• Design, install, and support electrical power distribution systems from 24V up to 15KV within the plant.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD, including single line diagrams, wiring schematics, and control layouts.
• Manage electrical projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with standards.
• Perform maintenance planning and oversee preventative maintenance for low and medium voltage systems.
• Collaborate with process control teams to develop I/O checklists and support automation initiatives.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing environments, especially with power distribution from 120V to 15KV.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, P&ID reading, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards such as NFPA 70E, NEC 70, IEC, and UL.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
