Base pay range: $69,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Location: San Diego, CA (Primary Location: 4840 Shawline St, San Diego, CA 92111-1400, United States of America)

What you'll do

• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
• Tour-to-Teach approach: communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, business initiatives, and company direction.
• Introduce and lead company change efforts; provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, manage and support customer service initiatives, and resolve customer needs and issues.
• Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; monitor merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes.
• Develop action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals; provide process-improvement leadership for a high-quality customer experience.
• Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and recognizing performance; promote a culture of belonging.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans, identifying goals, and measuring progress.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Open Door Policy; uphold ethics, integrity, and the Walmart values.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• 2 years college; OR 1 years retail experience and 1 years supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience with 1 years supervisory experience
• For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training
• For facilities selling ammunition with state requirements: possible current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility
• Associates will be required to attend and complete all job-required trainings (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings)

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
• General work experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing

• Annual salary range: $69,000.00-$80,000.00 plus potential differential to meet legislative requirements where applicable
